There's never been a cook-off
for the best Huntington Beach
burgers but there are two that
we drool for. One is the In N
Out burger with grilled onions.
It is cooked fresh,
made-to-order, and is
affordable. It comes in under
$5.
The second, heartier
hamburger that has all the works
is Ruby's BBQ burger. It
includes crunchy onion rings,
two slices of melted
cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon
and BBQ sauce. For some reason
they keep trying to put mayo on
it so we always have to remember
to ask them to hold the mayo (it
doesn't need it). It costs under
$10 and comes with a plate of french fries.
Ruby's is a 40's
style diner with red vinyl
booths and forever Pacific Ocean
views on the end of the
Huntington Beach Pier.
With either the In N Out
burger or the Ruby's burger, add
a shake (Ruby's has exceptional
malts), and you have ecstasy!
Other noteworthy hamburgers
around town come from a variety
of restaurants. Nearly every
restaurant offers them so there
has to be something worth
mentioning. Not all burgers are
the same. |
