The more big screen TVs, plasmas
and High defs you have, the
better off you are when it comes
to sports. Right? Almost
correct. Some local favorites
for watching sports include
Longboard Pub where the screens
aren't so large but the ambience
is very casual, comfortable,
friendly....very much like the
old "Cheers" show where everyone
knows your name. For things to
do and lots of perks such as
free pool and games, one
standout on Beach Blvd. is
Centerfield Sports Bar. It
offers hearty food, lots of
draft beers and sports all the
time. Local Mexican restaurant
hang-outs such as Don Jose's
serve up tasty chips, salsa,
margaritas and sports in
dedicated sports rooms. In
addition to Longboard Pub in
downtown HB, check out
Hurricane's for weekly sports
action, HB Brewery for lots of
screens to watch from, and 301
Beachfront for special showings
of the the Vegas boxing matches
such as home-grown Ortiz.
Nearly every bar and club
features sports on Monday nights
during football season because
there's so much interest. For
sports action, we'd probably go
with Centerfield Sports Bar &
Grill as the place to check out.
